About
The project pursues the implementation of innovative practices in order to create a favourable environment for young people to engage in social cooperative entrepreneurship in their local communities, through the aim of bringing closer the youth organizations to the world of cooperatives, thus enabling young people to fully take advantage of the cooperative enterprise model.
Target Groups
The first target group is made of Youth Workers (18-35 years old) in youth organization interested in social entrepreneurship and local community development, providing services an opportunities to support young people in developing competences. Youth workers are being recruited in each partner countries to be involved in IO1: the Learning Mobilities that will take place in Spain, Bulgaria and Slovakia from September 2019 till November 2019; the selected participants will be involved in the training programme as learners and then in the Training and Blended Mobility as mentors.
The second target group is made of Aspiring Young Social Entrepreneurs (18-30 years old) that have a small business idea or have started a small social entrepreneur venture/community development project. Unemployed are strongly encouraged to apply. Each partner will select 5 participants to involve in IO1 Local Focus Group, Online Training and Blended Mobility as learners.
Intellectual Outputs
Intellectual Output 1
The Learning Modules are based on the experience of the project partners: the aim is to provide training to target group 1 on the topic of Social Cooperatives, and to create a pilot version of Training Tools. Local Focus Groups will be handled in order to optimize and improve the tools and to adapt them to specific needs. The Training Tools will be optimized, improved and harmonized with specific learning topics, best practices, methodologies and tools.
3 modules will be the topic of the Learning activities:
1- From social needs to social innovation
2- Social entrepreneurship and cooperative business
3- Soft skills training for young coop-starters
Intellectual Output 2
The Open Learning Portal is an instrument for trainers and young learners to find and swap resources about social entrepreneurship and its value in the innovation, basic/transversal skills, business field and non-formal education.
A complete supported learning experience on social entrepreneurship will be provided: the learning materials created during the previous
phase will be made freely and openly available for the target group and other potential end-users.
It will be guarantee the certification of competences through the Open Learning Portal to the target group and to users of online training offers.

Creation of training models and tools usable, replicable and useful at european level for professionals, educationalists, youth organizations and associations
Results
YOUth COOPs expected results are the development of an innovative approach, among partners and youth organizations, to social and cooperative entrepreneurship for young people, and the increase of knowledge, tools and key competences related to social cooperative entrepreneurship among them. The Learning Modules and the Open Learning Portal are the instruments to foster the improvement of the target groups skills in social cooperative entrepreneurship.
